John Whitaker talked with Horse & Hound why his best horse Argento will not compete at Aachen (GER). After a great Outdoor season, top scores at the Nations Cup in Rome and two second places at the Longines Global Champions Tour (London, Monaco), the 13 year old AES-stallion is not going to start at this European Championships.
John Whitaker: „Argento isn´t quite as competent in a big grass arena compared to smaller sand rings. He always tries his best and I don’t want to break his heart in something he’s not comfortable in.“
Argento is already the second top horse of the britisch Team that will not going to start at Aachen, Scott Brash´s Hello Sanctos will also stay at home.
