Goodbye Austria, Buon Giorno Italy was last weekend’s motto for Belinda Weinbauer. The Alpenspan dressage rider joined a littly army of Austrian riders with whom she shared the destination CDI Caselle di Sommacampagna and had quite a lot of success riding Fräulein Auguste MJ and Söhnlein Brillant MJ.
Aboard the eleven-year old mare Fräulein Auguste (by Florencio I), Belinda started the weekend off with a victory in the Prix St. Georges and added two third places in the Intermediaire I and Intermediaire I Freestyle.
Söhnlein Brilliant MJ seemed to like the italian “Dolce Vita” as well. The 15-year old Hanoverian finished second in Friday’s Grand Prix and tuned it up even more in Sunday’s Freestyle. Scoring 76,15 %, Belinda did not only win the class but also improved her standing record in the Grand Prix Freestyle (74,350 %). Bellissimo, right?
