A succesful Alpenspan quartet was on tour in Linz, Margarethen am Moss and Busto Arsizio with Gerfried Puck (Styria), Dieter Koefler (Carinthia), Peter Gmoser (Burgenland) and Gianni Govoni (Italy) last weekend (04.-07.05.2017). The Nations Cup, an international top position and the discovery of a possible World Cup candidate were all part of the busy weekend.
At the CSIO4* in Linz (Upper Austria) Gerfried Puck and his KWPN mare Bionda were part of the Austrian FEI Nations Cup™ Divison 2. Together with Julia Kayser, Max Kuehner and Christian Rhomberg Gerfried finished seventh with Team Austria. In addition he was able to place himself with Bo in the 1.45 m jumping competition on rank six, this being the best Austrian result. Furthermore he took three more placings in the saddle of For Fun VT. Dieter Koefler also took home a ribbon in Linz – he became fourth with Askaban in the Silver Tour (1.45 m).
At the CSI2* in Busto Arsizio (Italy) Gianni Govoni aboard Larbraker showed a strong round in a 1.45 m test and came second. In the meanwhile Peter Gmoser used the national dressage event in Margarethen am Moos (Lower Austria) to present his potential candidate for this year’s World Cup in Ermelo (Netherlands). The seven-year-old Hanoverian gelding Banderas (by Barclay) showed his strength and finished his first S test with 68.796%, which meant victory for the pair.
