Press Release International Jumping Monte Carlo – The Longines Pro-Am Cup is always a very expected class in Monaco, and 2016 edition is no exception. We felt a lot of emotions after the impressive rides of Inigo Lopez de la Osa, father and son, coached by Daniel Bluman and Schuyler Riley, for Team Monaco Aces. A happy quartet to close a beautiful first day of sport.
Event sponsored by Charlotte Casiraghi, herself competing under the Amade Mondial’s colors, the Longines Pro-Am Cup has experienced a few changes this year. The team consisting of a professional rider coaching two amateurs, participates in the relay race, against the clock, on two courses with fences at different highs.
Inigo Lopez de la Osa Escribano who already won last year alongside Morocco Abdelkebir Ouadder, repeat the feat this year, teaming his son. When only 12 years old, Inigo Lopez de la Osa Franco, cadet of the competition, was the star of the night! Going first in the second round, the young Spanish rider imposed the rhythm: “he put pressure on me from the beginning, I was then obligated to make clear riding after him, I didn’t want to let him down!” told his father, all smiling.
Teams CTM PremiuMares and Media Plus do not demerit, ending respectively second and third. In a festive atmosphere, all competitors have created the show, playing the game of the public cheerful and yelling to encourage them to go as fastest as they can. The Longines Pro-Am Cup kept its promises and was once again a success.
Festivities of the Jumping International of Monte-Carlo keep going on today with, in particular, the major class of the weekend: the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix du Prince de Monaco at 6:30pm.
