Double lead for Felix Vogg (SUI) after CIC2* cross country – Robert Mandl best Austrian

BB | Eventing – 24 obstacles, 32 jumps on a course of 3335 meters had to be overcome without faults in an allowed time of 6 minutes and 04 seconds to have the chance to rank top in this international 2-star competition at the Horse Trials in Wr. Neustadt on the grounds of the Theresian military academy.  In the cross country one second time exceed mean 0.4 faults. A disobedience even means 20 faults.

The first of a total of 51 pairs started punctually at 9 am. As Cross Country Designer Peter Hasenböhler announced yesterday in the interview with EQWO.net it was necessary to gallop properly to stay in time. Indeed no rider/horse pair managed the course in time.

Felix Vogg (SUI), who was after the dressage on the ranks five and ten with his two horses Onfire and Colero, finally took the lead with 50.10 and 50.20 points. There are only 3,5 points to the third placed so it will remain thrilling in the showjumping tomorrow, where one fault counts 4 points.
